The Gateways to the Future Conference

Humber Economic Partnership is delighted to announce that the Institute of Economic Development (IED) has chosen the Humber area to host the UK Economic Development Conference 2010. This is the Institute’s annual conference and will be held on 6th and 7th October 2010 at the Royal Hotel in Hull. The ‘Gateways to the Future’ theme reflects the location of the conference in the Hull and the Humber Ports City Region.

In addition other subjects include: creating pathways and incentives to work (tackling worklessness); restructuring for a low carbon economy; smart development, no-growth and the green agendas; opportunities for place-making and marketing and four field trips to a range of regeneration, renaissance and development projects across the city region.
